Technology and the advancement of apps have helped many teens and adults with disabilities to grow and become more independent. Here at Arizona Developmental Services we support the use of apps for use in the kitchen, communication, and educational games.
Here are a few websites that may be useful in finding apps for you or someone you know with disabilities:
We visited the Phoenix Zoo! If you have never been or it has been a long time you should definitely go see all there is to offer at the zoo. We had a great time seeing the giraffes, elephant, monkeys, orangutans, birds, rhino and many more. Click here to check out our photo gallery to see more pics of our day at the zoo.
If you would like to help support Autism, check out the ZooWalk this year. The Phoenix Zoo is hosting a charity walk on October 4, 2014 to support Autism. The event raises money for treatment studies for children and adults with Autism or Asperger's. Click here for more info.
Arizona Developmental Services (ADS) is more than a day treatment program. Our young adults with disabilities help make our line of spice blends. All proceeds from the spice blend sales go directly to ADS.
Rub a Dub Dub Spice Blends: The Butcher, The Baker and The Candlestick Maker.
Come see us tomorrow at Central Farmers Market. We will be there from 8am-12pm. We are located on the S.E. Corner of Central and Northern in Phoenix, Arizona.
Our authors consist of staff and clients from ADS.
